PHARMACOLOGY
Increases bowel motor activity
Onset of action: tablets 10-12 h; suppositories 20-60 minutes
DOSING
- 5-15 mg once daily to bid
- 6-12 years: 5-10 mg once daily PO
UNWANTED EFFECTS
- Intestinal colic (cramping)
- Diarrhoea
